I cleaned up my build thread would be easiest to just go from there https://www.reef2reef.com/threads/new-nano-14.635358/page-2
Florida ricordea balling up and even brown spots on him as well, have tried a few different spots in tank only guess is too much light.
Sps birds nest frag 1” under water surface, cheap black box 10” above water polyps are retracted is this normal? I’ve read polyps only come out for gas exchange and my return pump placement seems adequate in this regard. (Using spinstream nozzle halfway out of water.)
Assume all perameters are near sea level except nitrates 10-20 will work on this and phosphate seems close to 0 definitely under 0.25 no gfo just Chaeto but thinking phosphate is locked up in the little burst of algae I got, it grew to a 1/4” and stopped ugh. Anyways what jumps out to you I could be doing wrong or better?
I’m thinking I need to bump up the whites as I’m currently using white on lowest setting and only like 4 hours, I mess with the corals and light a lot : D
The light I use has 9 blue settings and 9 white, I usually start off max blues and 30% whites and end the night close to 70% blue and whites off ( I do this manually) but thinking I should stop touching light and run blues 100% and whites 60% according to YouTube reviewers this should give me like 280 par top middle and 50ish bottom corners.
100% blues is simply ugly though with this specific light so I like to run it 2 settings lower 70% ish probably
