I’m pretty new to the coral thing and so I never know what’s really going on all the time so I was wondering if you guys think this ricordia is growing? It was much smaller when I added it to my tank and it puffed up and loves extending its tentacles when I add Red Sea reef energy. I looked at it today and it looks like it’s growing up the rock so I was wondering if you guys thought it was growing? Really excited about this because this is my first coral to actually show what looks like growth

Mushroom corals do grow, but they are technically anemones I believe. They have a foot and will wander and find the spot they want to be in. The best part is that often, when they're "walking" they tear a piece of flesh off on live rock and that can grow into a new mushroom.

exactly right, mushrooms “crawl” so to speak and yumas especially tend to move slightly and drop babies as they move hopefully that’s what’s happening!
