My wife doesn't know I'm going to buy a box yet.
She just had a tooth extracted and is kinda loopy so I may just tell her that I told her then. My guess is she won't be happy since I've already spent over $1000 this month on equipment.

Lol that is definitely me. I’ve spent about $6-$800 in coral and Fish this month. I looked at my credit card bill and was like…****

Seems appropriate!
The way members describe these fish, this picture of what looks like a demon clown is appropriate!! LOL How can such a cute fish be so evil. Haha.

I guess Ive posted a lot of stupid gifs so I'll actually add a few pics of some of my BC.
The pics are not the best and all of them are fairly new and just frags. I guess all corals have to start somewhere though.

The two in the middle aren't real happy because I just moved them to that location and then took the picture.

Here is a pic of my favorite BC coral that I own, SKY Parade, it's my fuzziest acro, besides maybe my Magic Wand

I also really like the Yellow Planet that I got in my last box. I can't find much online about it, will it eventually turn yellow? Like some of the others it's not happy in the pic because I'd just moved if from my rack also.

@Battlecorals , Adam, seriously, you are going to do this to me now...LOL!!!

I am not sure if I am ready for $1000 battlebox, BUT, I will at least order a smaller battlebox to test my tank to see if its ready for a $1000 battlebox though.

I’m focusing on a mixed reef with easy sps (montipora and birdsnest, etc)
I added the easy sps first and I've been shocked at how quickly they've grown. There are some that I honestly wish I wouldn't have added.

This birdsnest grew to this size from a small frag in only 9 months. I look at it and all I see is wasted space where some nice acros could go. It is at least easy to frag pieces off of to trim it up.

See I like that. The only acros I want, for now, would be a Valida, green slimer, and blue tort. I’d love to get an efflo but don’t have the space for something like that to grow out.

I have a tri color valida and I do really like it. It's grows fairly quick but not to a plague level

Please ignore the number, that pic is one that I keep that I number to keep track of which coral is which.
I have two different torts, a Miyagi tort and a Oregon tort and they're okay. For me they haven't grow at all.

I've never had a green slimer but I do like the way they look.

Yea I remember reading the torts are slow growers. I just like the look of the green slimer (most stags honestly) and the Valida is another one of my bucket list corals. It was the first SPS i was able to identify when I first got into reefing and it’s stuck ever since

After looking at my pics that I've posted I really need to get a macro lens and filters for my wife's dslr. I don't understand how people take such good pictures with a phone.

I've tried changing the white balance on my phone which gives me accurate color representation but then it's hard to get my phone to focus.

I don't know anything about then. Are they for phones or digital cameras or does it matter?
They are for phones. Its a complex of small lenses (20k, 15k, macro, and 37mm) that screw into a small clip that goes over your phone lens. The yellow and orange filters helps with color perception and the macro is awesome, especially with the newer iphones that have the auto zoom to 2x function. I use it with my fiancees phone (hers is newer than mine) and can take some pretty good shots. They can be found on amazon for like $20 if I remember right
