RO/DI, SALT WATER or TAP and water for cycling

Hello Guys
I need to ask again, since I am confused
I just finished assembling the cabinet for reefer 350
I am going to put a tank on topf of it, and try to do plumbing .

I do have live sand, and dry rock ( I didn't go with live rock, as I planned)

Should I
- get RO/DI water mix by myself and add it?
- buy salt water
- just put tap water and a water conditioner ? - do I add salt after that?

Ok you could cure with tap water, then do a 100% water change with ro/di. I would fill tank 2/3, declorinate and add salt. Fill with rock and sand, then fill the tank the rest of the way. Add a uncooked shrimp and let the cycle happen for a few weeks Lights off. Then do the 100% water change. Time for fish!

My method would be to use ro/di and make my own salt water. Instant ocean is great for this. if you don’t own a ro unit you will need one. Also a refractometer.

I did your third option to fill, test, add salt and cycle.
Then each change was RODI

Don't put tap water in your tank. You're starting off on the wrong foot. The water will saturate into your rocks and even draining "all" the water out will leave behind some of the extra stuff found in tap water vs. ro/di

I do have RO/DI 75 it will take too much time and water waste, so I decided to buy Ro/DI water and mix it.
