I've got a Rockflower anemone that is well within the reach of a massive BubbleTip anenome which is sting it. The rockflower looks really bad due to this, its attached to some marcorock and I can't get at its base to move it.

Suggestions? Its moved a few times on its own but its actually moved closer to the BTA making the situation worse.

Thanks,

RFA’s aren’t very smart. I’ve had a couple park themselves next to a hammer that is repeatedly stinging them and refuse to move. Also a couple have marched into caves and and died from lack of light.
If it’s attached to a large rock there isn’t a whole lot you can do.
Maybe an ice cube around it’s foot to make it detach?

If you have a submersible pump and some line you can connect it to the outflow and point the other end to the rockflower. It’ll take a few minutes but they hate heavy flow and let go fast and safely. Worked really good for me.

One of these made with 1" pipe and a sponge will have you set up.

An ice cube didn't work.
A power head isn't an option as I only have the 2 gyre's at each end of the tank and I can't reposition it to where the RFA is.
The "anemone cannon" appears to be a viable option, I'll have to go get the sponge and pvc tube.

Thank you!
