I set up a nice 180 gallon tank my brother loaned me in the summer of 2015 . All was good for about 6 weeks. Got up one Sunday morning, opened the bedroom door saw the water level down in the tank. I thought the return pump had quit, walked over to the tank and stepped into a puddle of salt water! A seam was leaking. I put my live stock in a all in one cube I had and the rest in a 47 bow front I had. Then got on Craig’s list and found my 150 gal. Here is a picture from when I picked it up and the 180 and cube.

Then I got it setup and running. I already had a 90 gallon sump tank in the basement running so with all the live rock in the 47 gal. It was ready to go I thought.

I fought that for about a year then I discovered carbon dosing! Thanks you (Randy Holmes-Farley ) you saved my tank! I have dosed vinegar mixed with Kalkwasser ever sense. Got rid of gha and got bubble algae under control with the help of about ten emerald crabs.

Envious of having a basement to house sump/water change equip etc. Unfortunately we don't really have them in FL. Good luck with the tank!
Thanks it does make it easier especially when you leave the ro unit on like I did this morning and run 5 gallon on the floor.

In the time between my ro unit was letting po4 in my tank and I wasn’t checking it and learned a good lesson, check your ro water occasionally! So I got a new unit from BRS and all is good. I also do a 10% water charge every week with rodi water and reef crystals and adjust with BRS 2 part.

Today I moved one of my cyphastrea coral down to make room for a Acropora I am getting next month it didn’t seem to like the light up top wear I had it anyway! Moved it right next to a similar one below it.

Then I moved my Turbinaria frag up top it hasn’t done well wear I had it near the bottom. I will have to keep an eye on it to see how it reacts.
