Hi guys,

since my sicce pump is kinda loud, i decided to get the RD3 Speedy pump 50W for my Reefer 170. I heard it is supposed to be very quiet.

For the RD3 Speedy 50W, there are 2 models. 1 is 50hz 230V and another one is 60Hz with 110V.

Does anyone know what’s the difference between those 2?

Thanks guys so much!
Max

Hi reeferdugong, can't really help you with the differences but can say that mine is dead silent.

Hi Paul,
Hi fishhead,

that makes sense! Yes we have 230v in Germany too. Thanks so much for the help. Thank god i haven't ordered the 110V one, because it's cheaper.

The nominal voltage for Australian households is 230 volts, but because voltagefluctuates all the time, electricity should be delivered within an allowable range of between 216 and 253 volts.
also depends on your cable runs longer your electrical cable the more voltage drop you get

I'll be attaching a 25 mm silicone tube from the pump. Do i just buy a barb fitting 25mm x 1 1/4"? How do you guys do it?

will it more quiet to hard plumb it? I'm guessing you glued a pvc tube to the pump?
