I'm not sure if he's been fighting or what. All the other fish seem fine. I added a 6 line in my max e170 and they were fine togther for a while. Then the gamma started hiding in a rock but he still came out for food and would buck on the 6 line if the 6 line came close to his rock. I did notice he was swimming upside a lot but then he would go upright. About a week ago he started hanging out on the sand bed under another rock and barely eating. That's when I noticed his face was kinda dark. Today I woke up and he and he was sideways on the sand bed breathing hard and his face is a lot more brown. He was kinda pale too. I quickly threw him in my coral qt. I don't know what to do.

Pics are very dark and need under good white lighting but fish appears to have a protozaon issue. Need clearer pics to confirm before recommending any treatments

Ok- looks more like bacterial and fish will need to be placed in a quarantine tank and treated with either seachem Kanaplex or Maracyn 2 for at least 5 days
Focus on water quality and diet.
A quarantine tank can be as simple as a starter kit from Walmart which has most of the essentials.

Are my other fish in my DT at risk? Can I treat in my coral qt? Where does bacterial infections syem from?

I really appreciate you helping me. Looks like I have a ton of reading ahead of me. I might dip the two frags in my coral qt and put them in my DT sooner than I expected so I can turn it into a hospital tank.

Just watch your other fish for subtle signs of increasing breathing rate - in case this is a protozoan infection. This species is also prone to gill flukes.

Thank you

So I put the royal gramma in qt this whole time. 5 months. Did 3 rounds of kanaplex and metroplex. He's swimming around fine. I'm not sure if his face went back to normal or maybe it's just scared. Well it be safe to tend him out of qt?

I would treat it for flukes with Prazipro. It is a safe treatment, and given the fish’s history, I’d do it. Dose 2x, 8 days apart with really good aeration in the tank and a 25% water change before the second treatment. No carbon filtration.
