My 2 colonies. Every piece I have cut has red on it. I have never had all red or all yellow. I don’t know if that is good or bad

I got a supposedly RRC Rainbow Splice 2 days ago, mine is basically just Yellow

I got a supposedly RRC Rainbow Splice 2 days ago, mine is basically just Yellow
It depends on the branch cut. I bought a branch that was listed as "yellow/green" only from A Reef Creation in January. Here is an older photo from when I got it in January. It is bright yellow green.

It just started developing some red/purple color in the tips. I'll have to post a more recent photo when I'm home.

Splice grows fast, but if you don't start with a lot of red it ends up being mostly green as the green portion grows faster in my experience. This is the best looking piece I have grown out yet, it went to a high end collector. I had it under very high par (~800) and it really pulls out the yellows and makes the red more of a fuchsia.

Mine is bright yellow-green……I’m hoping I see some red coming in…. Might be my imagination. About 400 PAR IMG_3063.jpeg
