Running a BRS reactor “in line” with return ? 300 gph?

Got a reactor, not sure what I will use it for, maybe chaeto, but not really wanting to run another pump. . . Could I run the reactor off my return pump? How bad an idea?

I split off of my return pump and run to a mini reactor, then back into the sump. I used it for gfo initially, now for carbon. I have a small valve on it for low flow.
