Salinity flactuating?,

My milwauke ma877 brand new calibrated is reading my salinity between 1.026 and 1.027. I press read it reads 1.027 i press read again and its 1.026 what should i believe?

There is a tolerance of +/- one so should be good

But its showing 1.027. And then press read again and its 1.026 lol.
It is technically a wider range than that. It’s claimed specs are not very tight.

But even if it was accurate to the nearest 0.0000001 units, if the actual values were 1.0265000000, it would bounce back and forth.

A true 1.026 could read anything from 1.024 to 1.028

  • Accuracy: ±2 PSU | ±2 ppt | ±0.002 S.G. (20/20) | ±0.3°C / ±0.5°F

I think you might be overthinking it. :grinning-face-with-big-eyes: You should be all good to go knowing the Accuracy range.

Sorry. I have one and I'm less than impressed with it, that's all. Perhaps I shouldn't have made that post.

IMO, it’s important for people considering devices to see more than the marketing advertisements for them.
