Hello reef aquarium addicts! :p

I thought it would be fun to put together a Saltwater Reef Aquarium Quiz, put some of the questions together and then send it out to all of you to see how much you know! Something for fun. You all may hate the idea so this thread and the response will tell me! HA!

What do I need from you? I need questions and answers!

So if you will help us out please post a question and answer that we could include in our REEF QUIZ!

HOW TO ENTER

For every real question and right answer you post with it you'll get an entry to WIN a $100 gift certificate to the R2R Sponsor of your choice! :) WOOT!

Questions can range from very easy to very hard and we will draw once we have at least 100 entries!

Q: If the tank looks OK is there really a reason to test the water?
A: Yes

You don't see the problem, just the effect.

(Easy question)
Q: Can you submerge mangroves completely?

A: No, their leaves and some of their trunk need to be above water so they can get air.

You’ll choke them if you submerge them completely.

Q: Should you always listen to your LFS advice?
A: No, not all LFS care about fish, just money. Always get second opinions from online or different sources.

How much wood would a wood chuck chuck?.... nvm.. wrong subject.

What is the difference between PAR readings versus PUR readings in light sources?
PAR means Photosynthetic Active Radiation is a measurement of light power in visible light spectrum (all colors, hence between 400nm thru 700nm. PUR represents Photosynthetic Usable Radiation and measures power within typical photosynthetic range only.
