These are some of my pictures over the years. From the first tank to the current.
Ive tried a lot of things but I found that not losing sight of the subject is the best approach.

If you want to learn photography, just do it. keep trying. Just shoot. Make mistakes. Have fun. Keep learning.
If you think your not doing it right, stop thinking.
You are learning it right.
Its not for anyone else but you.

Im my own worst critic, so there's nothing I haven't told myself already. That being said. Bare with me as I try to find the best way to post these.

Oreo. My first clown.

Al in my first Nano. I still have him. I was surprised when it dawned on me. He is now 4 years old.

which lenses are you using to get those macros? Absolutely amazing shots!
Thank you.
I use, and have had the pleasure of using many. Some are not macro lenses. Many just have a very good close focus. Some are point and shoot.

I was feeling a bit bad so I dusted off the cameras and lenses and took these last night. Gain is a bit high so you see a touch of grain, and I'm not quite familiar with the new light with this camera. Probably would have beed a bit better but I added a bit of green and warmth in post.

My first SPS attempts. I got this one from the warehouse here in SD. I wandered in and they had trimmed the huge display tank and had several large pieces for next to nothing.
It has suffered through my rough learning attempts and now finally seems to be coloring up and growing!
