Beautiful tank. Good to see another DFWMAS member floating around and killing it with an unreal tank.

Documenting couple of changes:
Six months back I removed nitrate dosing, reduced skimmer to ten hours a day. Mixed results. Milles had better polyp extension but one of my prized tabling acro browned out over time. Below is a video.

Top Down Video of SPS

I am in process of making following changes:
- skimmer back to 24 hours
- 50 gallon water changes every
- controlling phosphate with phosphate E
- dosing nitrate with ammonium nitrate reactor

Phosphate E is a no go. Went back to GFO. Phosphate E also precipitates carbonate along with phosphate, which is a problem for anybody using two part dosing or calcium reactor for macros...

Also, phosphate level went up. I am sure it is because of how I was dosing lanthanum chloride (directly inside the skimmer with a doser).

While I am at it, I made a mistake of buying rowaphos...going back to BRS high capacity. Rowaphos is extremely dirty and needs way more flushing compared to BRS.

On a good note, my nitrate factory leveraging ammonium nitrate is working like a charm. Completely Removed Potassium nitrate...

More to come.

So much info in this thread, never mind the beauty, but what stands out to me most as a beginner is:

a) You have an amazing balance of different things thriving at once, and...
b) How much experimentation and “unknown” stuff there still is, even for someone who can keep a tank like this going for 6 years.

SO much to learn...

Thank you. All different species Once acclimated like the same water chemistry and light/flow can be altered based on individual choices. That’s why Milles are right in front of the powerhead...

enjoy some actinides shot and videos - one in 14 K and other in actinics.
