I want to minimize the amount of maintenance on my upcoming build. I'm going to have a relatively shallow sand bed, 1.5" of black sand.

What, if any sand Sifters are out there that can work with that? I know nassarius can do it, but what about other inverts? Conches, stars, etc?

How about fish? I'd like to have some sort of goby to help out, but don't know if the bed will be deep enough. That, and I'd worry about most of the smaller gobies being potentially eaten by my eel, or the niger trigger I want to stock.

I’ve seen lyretail hogs dig in the sand for food but not often, dragon gobies, orange spot gobies and Bella’s are good choices, personally love the yellow heads but I saw one in the Komodo islands about a foot in length
