I finally picked up a Seneye and did some par readings for my SB Reeflights 45 Ultra which is 11” over the water measured from the bottom of the light. Turns out I was way under powering my light. I was getting readings of 40 on the sandbed and 140 at the top of my rocks. Hopefully this explains my difficulty with most corals lately. I had the light 15” over the water and there was about 40% less light than there should have been. Settings are 75 Blue 50 White 100 Uv 60 Warmth. These settings were taken at the max which runs from 1pm until 4pm everything from 7am until max is gradual ramp up everything after 4pm is gradual ramp down.

Is this the new settings?
Are you running the SBreeflight long day(12-14?)
Cuz those look like good numbers. Close to what I run.

That’s the new settings. Light runs from 8am-9pm peak from 1-4
Perfect. Let it ride like that a while imo (the acros should visibly grow in like 2 -3 weeks) if you want to change anything I’d just extend the peak time 30-60 min till you hit the Sweet spot.
Mine was about the same run time with a 4-5 hr peak and similar par.

Jus sayin

I have an ultra 45 and am using the ramping schedule from SB's web page as a guide. I am presently running a 12 hour schedule with a 6 hour peak period Blues, 1 hour whites, 3.5 hours UV and 1 hour warmth. I am still in a acclimation staging process. Meaning: Original lights output to SB reef lights chart recommend levels. I have mostly LPS at 14" ( black clam at 17") from lights leds. Present max settings : Blue 45%, White 44 , UV 80 and Warmth 60 . Am looking for bit more pop without going too blue. 14K to 18K is my goal.

What do you think I should change my settings , if so what do you suggest and why ?

THANKS
