I've had exclusively longspines for the past three years. Partly because my diadema have never rearranged things, although they will occasionally poke something.

I've never seen them carrying anything. I just don't want to get poked. The Purple Pincushion hasn't stabbed me yet and I've picked it up a couple of times.
