So it seems like it is definitely real reef rock. It's surprisingly light. I'm only 3 years into the hobby so I've never seen this magical pukani rock or Indo rock before, but this is probably 3/4 the weight of a similar sized Marco rock.

From what I've read, real reef rock is lighter. It potentially has a coral on it in a few places, leptoseris or similar encrusting corals, but with the delay nothing survived. Very little Coraline on it though, but there was some green Coraline on the rocks.

I've seen zero snails move about in the bucket even when I take the main three rocks out. I've seen zero crabs. No moving life, not even copepods. In that regards, from what I've read of Florida rock, those are signs that it is live rock.

The result, I'm unsure. I kind of want to buy it again, but it's pricey at 20$ a pound.

As for if I contacted them, I did. They are going to resend it another out, so we'll see how that looks.
Well it's definitely interesting, website says is Marco rock planted and harvested.

I don't remember if you said but was it shipped wet or submerged? My live rock was wet, wrapped in paper. Because of the delay there was die off but I did daily water changes and still had coral survive .

Yeahhhh. They like LPs sometimes right?
From what I've read, their main diet consists of plankton and copepods. They will accept other types of food but a notoriously difficult sometimes, as bad or worse than copperband butterflies.

When lacking their main diet they will sometimes switch to the algae in corals.

Some people have had great luck in reef tanks others haven't.

I was pleasantly surprised with my reefcleaners order I got yesterday- I was a bit skeptical by how long UPS left it on the truck in the cold but everything arrived alive and there was even a bonus bag of teeny tiny ceriths!
I've always had great luck with reef cleaners.

Those tiny ceriths, I mean they do a good job cleaning in nooks and crannies but my gosh I hate them because they get in my gyres.

I was wondering about where they might cause problems.... I'll have to keep a look out there, thanks for the heads up

They only come out at night so if you're awaken by what sounds like a baseball card stuck in the spokes of a bicycle.... Y'all know

Nem guards help though

The most random sounds come out at night. Trochus doing some weird spins in the corners clacking, Margherita snails trying to crawl out of eurobrace than splashing back in when they meet gravity, and the pistol shrimp snapping in my sump haha
