This apparently occurs because pieces have broken off landed on other type of acro and then fused together.

Anyone else partially fill their new tanks to dump rock in and salt prior to filling all the way with plumbing?

That's my thought process. I was even thinking of finishing QT in here with pipes for the observation period. I could then send an eDNA test out when I have most fish here to see if there is any disease.

Seems like a great idea. Drop a heater and powerhead in, and you could fishless cycle, seed with liverock, or whatever.

I don't see why you couldn't.

Only issue is getting meds out after treating. Would have to completely drain it.
