Alright reefing friends, I need a suggestion for.

I am running a BRS reactor for Phosban which is fed by a Sicce pump. This pump is in the main section of my sump (after the filter roller). I have it lifted off the bottom 2 inches to try and reduce any detritus being picked up. The outlet of the reactor goes into the baffle between the main section and return section to reduce "double processing" of the water.

Issue is that the pump still picks up detritus which clogs the sponges in the reactor. This causes the flow to be reduced to the point of shut down.

My question is what can I do to eliminate or significantly reduce the detritus pick up/blockage of the reactor sponges?
