@SudzFD also I think that maybe I’ll be cautious and change my rodi filter. It’s almost a year old and I don’t know if it’s fully up to snuff could be minor phosphates starting to push through, correct?

Wait. For real? So I have a good chance of my rodi letting stuff through at this point.O.mg some of us are on monthly catch up kid!
Change membrane and filter 1x a year. what the heckYeah. Okay. So that could be my problem. My water I just researched and the water report showed high nitrates last year and they dose phos. Based on brs’s rodi and what not….. my filters are shot….
Great…. Well. Another lesson learned. At least I have the replacements ready. Gotta dump about 30 gallons of filtered water I had prepped.
What? How often do you guys average your changes? I thought it was once a year because of reading brs.Change membrane and filter 1x a year. what the heck
Sigh. lol. I’ll dose vodka and vinegar for the time being. I’ll consider firing up a fuge in the future but I’m not ready to buy fuge light and algae for budgetary reasons. I’ve read the benefits of it recycling nutrients and being good for the fish too.
Interestingly I read that the seaweed I bought is known to run nitrates high. Feel like I’m constantly sinking chunks of cash into solving the next problem.

Test your RO water and see.@SudzFD also I think that maybe I’ll be cautious and change my rodi filter. It’s almost a year old and I don’t know if it’s fully up to snuff could be minor phosphates starting to push through, correct?
I have a whole house filter but still run ROWhat? How often do you guys average your changes? I thought it was once a year because of reading brs.
I could but what I was reading is that testing purified water it’s difficult to pic up phos and nitrates as its ions are difficult to detect until there are contaminates (salts whatever have you) will bindTest your RO water and see.
I change at least 2x a year at min. Depends on how often I make water. My tds straight from tap avg about 43What? How often do you guys average your changes? I thought it was once a year because of reading brs.
Wow. Okay. So I’m a few months behind. Guess tomorrow I’ll change it and do a change and see if I’ll see a drop. That WOULD explain why after the recent water change my phosphate and nitrates didn’t really budge.I change at least 2x a year at min. Depends on how often I make water.
