Also my town does hydrant flushing that destroys membranes. Chlorine and chloramines
Yeah. I also saw that my town had above average pfa’s detected. I guess I should consider a house filter regardless. The town I reside in used to be an EPA superfund site as a lot of manufacturing used to go on there and they buried cooking oils trash and manufacturing waste biproduct. I haven’t trusted the water once. We only drink bottled or from our fridges filter.

Check the TDS on water from fridge... I bypassed and added a pressurized storage tank to Ro/DI for fridge ice and drinking water.
Internal Fridge filter was garbage no matter what brand i bought. Always very high TDS

Yeah. Our towns water the pfa’s are literally at the highest allowed threshold. Forget the fish - time to have clean water in our home. Jeeze.

My nitrates and phosphates were not crazy until recently. So I’d like to believe the 4 stage was doing the job. Only recently it had this huge jump.

Good looks! Bought both just now. Appreciate it. Less flying blind is always a good thing.

Make water faster and you waste less water.
That’s a plus too. Before I take any drastic dosing or anything guess I should run my rodi and a wc and see if the nitrates and phosphates begin to drop on their own. Could be as simple as just old filtration. Hopefully!

Do you remember there being a large amount in your water before you added the filter? I have a ton of metals, mercury and nasty stuff in my well, but I don’t think I had nitrate and phos. I Forgot that could be in there as well.

It’s common for towns to dose phosphates in water lines. By doing that in inhibits lead and copper from leeching into the water. I never tested before I started but I was def not having any issues with my levels until recently.

Also I can say we for sure have ‘hard water’ as we often get orange reddish rings form around the toilet water line and sink lines, shower as well.
