My home water sediment filters 20 micron and 5 micron

I run 20 micron and 5 micron sediment filters, then 5 micron and 1 micron carbon.

I have pressure gauges on both sides, when pressure drops enough I swap them out.

My RODI unit, the sediment filters stays pure white. I swap it anyways when I change the carbon filters on the RODI.

No one answered you, why do you ask? I have a reefmat 1200 but haven't plumbed anything. Just got the tank on the stand.

Can the 1200 handle that much flow. I have 2 500 on the 120 gallon? Only choice is to reduce it down and reduce flow to match.

I have 1.5" drains running bean animal style. I plumbed the main drain to the ReefMat but the 1" drain didn't handle the flow and water started coming down the secondary drain. So I am wondering if anyone experienced this and how they mitigated it? I did some searching and it seems I can plumb the secondary drain to the other side of the RM, but will that be too much flow for the RM itself? Is it going to cause the rolls to advance?

Add some, pack, add more, pack, pack pack pack, yup always a tiny amount left.

I just changed Resin in 2 of my units.

Dont know? I always buy in bulk
I was buying bulk, but resealing it and keeping air from it, I'm always worried I didn't seal the bag well enough.

Single packs I know are sealed, and I only change it 1-2 times a year. So maybe an extra $2 a year to buy singles.

I buy the singles from BRS when they're on sale. Always a bit left over.

Welp, that could explain why my stuff has been so-so with balanced levels - could be chlorine and etc in.. Speaking of which, time to put a new bag of carbon in.

Me too. The resin is the one I don't buy in bulk because I'm afraid it goes bad if I don't seal well. a few dollar is nothing.

The bags they come in are junk... the zip lock never seals correctly after opening.
I always put in a different sealable bag after opening

:rolling-on-the-floor-laughing: :rolling-on-the-floor-laughing: true

Which is why I sealed the bag best I could, put it in another mylar bag, in another mylar, and in a 1 gallon freezer bag, stuffed in another freezer bag. And still worried.:rolling-on-the-floor-laughing:

I have also read that some manufacturers use the same membranes in both the 75 and 100gpd. The main difference is the flow restrictor. The 75gpd is normally 525-800 and the 100gpd is 800.
