This is the same problem my friend @SueAbu has for her 500g she’s setting upI need to find a big sump that's used - two of them really. My 450 stand has braces in the middle on the bottom so I had to do dual sumps but one is really too small. I'd like to ultimately have matching but not at $2k per tank.
I’ve tried making acrylic boxes. It hasn’t been overly succesfulThat's way too big but a good idea. I just have limited space so I will probably have to do something custom. Has anyone tried to make their own acrylic tanks?

Basically the same issue. Low height and limited by the middle braces. This is the same problem my friend @SueAbu has for her 500g she’s setting up
And I’m gonna share her pics…she got the tank off Craigslist and she sent me a photo of the stand
If I had to do it i would use a shower pan liner and support it with wood. But that can rip. Basically a pool liner. This is the same problem my friend @SueAbu has for her 500g she’s setting up

It’s filling it that would be an issue. Maybe a cabinet that’s only for the ato - and dosing pumps?Cabinet if it will fit. Wet with wet
Do you have a basement or other area you could plumb it to? Long ago I had a tank plumbed through the wall to a stock tank outside. This was in CA not AZ so less extreme weather so the temps were far less of an issueBasically the same issue. Low height and limited by the middle braces.
Nah it's the hoseIs that @stoney7713 s daughter
She definitely has her work cut out for her to get that stand rightIf I had to do it i would use a shower pan liner and support it with wood. But that can rip. Basically a pool liner.
I could. I have it plumbed to totes outside for easy water changes - that may be an option I didn't think of.Do you have a basement or other area you could plumb it to?
