I noticed that shanes is poofy and shorter and also super super bright. Mine (short in picture) extend all the way out and arent as yellow (this is an old picture) they dont poof like this and instead are usually longer. Almost as if the color gets spread out. From above the tank…. Its super bright though

color definitely much less vibrant as tentacles extend. You can increase par to keep tentacle from extending all the way only if you are comfortable. I have heard stories about other reefers trying to raise bar or moving their torch upward and end up losing it
