So question for the group, how do you dip a large rock? My LFS has a cool mushroom rock, the rock is maybe like a pound. I was reading on the forums here that you shouldn’t use a coral dip on live rock like that since it will absorb and re-release later.

@StatelineReefer or whoever else bought some of the SBB Mushroom colonies, did you dip?

I was most likely going to throw it in the 10g for observation. My worry is that this LFS just takes things on trade in, so no idea what could be on the rock.

Being a salt and not an oil I would feel safe about it. Even if a little bit made it to the tank it won't hurt anything.

I would like to try one, always been hesitant about them but I find them interesting. There's very few corals that are a hard no.
