That's rolling out everywhere. Each countries membership system is separate. At some point they will fix it. They've been saying that for the last 15 years so I'm not holding my breath

a couple of the stores around the Bay Area have implemented the scanners at the entrance to "crack down" on membership sharing

They're start scanning your membership card as you enter. It wouldn't scan my Costco Visa Executive Member card. I just show them,, and they didn't even check my ID and just say Welcome to Costco

I didn't know that. I thought it would be under 1 system. Plus the line to get gas is more ridiculous over there. Here, the line into Costco gas is within Costco. Over there, the line is outside. So people lineup to get gas are blocking traffic to only one lane
