Awesome setup. How did you put the lip around the top of the stand if you don't mind me asking
No problem. Try and explain this as easy as possibly. The tank stand when first built, was built so the tank rested flush with the 2x4 frame. I nailed an additional 2x4 around the top of the frame to "pad it" out. Then I put 1x4 pvc trim sitting on its flat to give it a shelf look. This recessed the aquarium essentially into the stand by 3/4in (thickness of a 1x). I put also a 1/4 or half in leveling pad under the tank as well.
