Today I received plasti dip, razor blades, true union check valve and BRS soda ash.
We sprayed plasti dip on the back of the tank again, looks good enough now.
Dosed soda ash to go up .7 - .8 dkh ALK
Tomorrow will do the same, then the ALK will be at 8.5
Tomorrow I'll be measuring, cutting, dry fitting and clocking pvc.
I'm still waiting for the pvc Y connector then everything can be assembled!!
Friday fragging gloves will be here, bought the same ones BRS sells from amazon Shhh don't tell. lol
Soon I'm going to frag the zoas onto a rock finally.

Here's a quick look at what the return will look like.
Just imagine the 45 in the middle replaced with a Y and another matching diagonal return on the other side.
The 4 return unions will go 2 right after each Y outlet and 2 right before the 90 at the bulkheads.

Pardon my mess.

Today I started dry fitting plumbing, starting to look like something finally.
Last photo shows 2 blue lines where I need to cut each pvc pipe
The blue circle shows a 90 elbow that will be replaced with a Y connector so that will have a pipe going downward to the pump.
I also dosed the rest of the soda ash needed to get to 8.5
Looks like Sunday will be the install/setup day!!
Stay tuned...

Thanks @Philipgonzales3
Getting things ready today to move the stand.
Pulling the stand out and finishing my dry fitting of the plumbing.
Installing apex on the stand and plugging everything into the apex.
Tomorrow I should be finishing the final touches so Sunday I can get everything set up and running.

Just got back from Menards and got:
10ft of raceway to hide wires cleanly.
Clear pvc primer.
ABS to PVC transition cement for the bulkheads.
Teflon tape.
Screws to install the apex and all the controllers.
Ethernet cable to connect the apex to the interwebs for control and observation.

Yesterday I went to pick up some free corals from a local reefer; green tip frogspawn and green duncan.
On my way home I picked up a lawnmower blenny.
That lil dude has chomped down a bunch of my GHA already in 24hrs. WOW!
My basslet is not a fan of the blenny and after seeing aggression I look at compatibility chart and it says with caution or care so I've been playing mediator today lol.
The basslet hasn't bit the blenny but he chases him away from his perceived territory.
Wondering if an acclimation box for the basslet to watch the blenny do his thing may make him be less aggressive?
Not sure. Right now I don't think the basslet is going to kill the blenny but I don't want his aggression getting worse though, even just to keep it in check as is would be fine.
I took a pic of the basslet in his home, it's the rock he lived in when in the 20 gal tank that got transferred over.
He's protecting his home but the blenny sees all that green hair dinner right there LOL.

Oh yeah I forgot to mention my Clari Sea roller filter has something wrong with it, I think the controller,, plug in or wiring is faulty.
I plug it in it let's me manual advance then doesn't work and the controller starts freaking out blinking lights dimly and beeping noise.
Also today I was in contact with Neptune to get my Apex working with my internet and that's all fine and good now.
Next i want to get a Wyze pan cam from amazon for $35 and set it up for the Apex dashboard so when I'm not home I can watch live feed of the tank.

Nice progress.

Basslets are known aggressors if I recall right. Blenny's being some of the most docile. Prolly would have been safer to do blennies, gobies. Pj's, benghais, etc first, jerks later :)

Nice pickups regardless. Keep it goin!
