Yup!

When I got my cinnamon palys, there was a nice and juicy aptasia right on the rock. Thought it was a nem of some sort, so I asked the employee if I could get it for the same price, and she just said “yeah, sure”. Didn’t even tell me that an aptasia could overtake my whole tank and choke out everything alive. Luckily I exterminated the thing before it spread.

LFS workers really just don’t care if they just sold you a killer nem. They just want to sell things and make money.

2. What are some proactive steps you take to help protect yourself when buying or selling online?
This is a good question and one that needs to be raised regularly.

1 thing is that you should NEVER send money without buyer protection over the internet to someone you don't know personally. That's why we have the rule here that no sellers are allowed to request payment via PayPal Friends and Family or any other unprotected method.
