And alas the Radiant goes into the 110!

Touchdown!Wasnt today’s target but look who finally swam into the trap!
Had planned on getting the Long Nose Hawk and moving to Biocube.
But wont cutting the fuge photoperiod back result in a drop of ph and less no3 being pulled? Will the 380 yield that much of an improvement that u can cut the schedule and still achieve better results than ur currently getting? We have an upgrade coming! After stretching the refugium light time to 12 hours and 90% power making no dent in Nitrates I had been thinking the 40w light might be slightly undersized for 120/125g of water and my feeding habits.
Started looking on Amazon for something in the 100w neighborhood that wasn’t $4/500 and just before pulling trigger I searched our market place and found someone looking to sell or trade an H380 for an H160 and a little cash.
Ding, dang, dong mesages received and we had a deal! Shipped out today for delivery next week at which point Ill send him back the 160.
We’ll double the output, put a nicer rise in PH and certainly need to cut back from 12 to a more modest 6 or 8 hours. That hopefully will start pulling Nitrate back a bit. 5 has always been the goal but I just cant seem to decrease below 10 no matter what Ive tried. Im feeding less than Id like as it is and still seeing them creep up bit by bit.
Double the power of the light so yes it should put photosynthesis into overdrive while lit.But wont cutting the fuge photoperiod back result in a drop of ph and less no3 being pulled? Am I being oblivious right now? I've been drinking... so... anything is possible.
As a H380 owner, don't under-estimate the light. It puts out a lot of juice. As well, be sure to fully clean it every two or so months. The housing can be completely removed and the heat sink directly exposed, and those fins tend to attract tons of dust and any ambient salt in the air.We have an upgrade coming! Always rewarding seeing an upgrade showing results on the first day. Sweet.Testing daily each morning this week to hopefully get a handle on the Fuge light upgrade. Expecting a need to increase feeding on some levels. Cut off the GFO reactor this morning too, should have done that yesterday had I thought of it.
Po4: Down already .03
No3: Holding steady at 10ppm
Dosed some Brightwell Coral amino's with breakfast as little something extra.
