Cant put it "upstream" of the skimmer? (Bubbles flow away)

Yeah it’s upstream from the skimmer now but ya never know. Figured it was best to stay away altogether. we’ll see how it goes.

I can imagine a little frustration when you wanna dial something in and test results are all over the place keeping u from nailing a tight range to go with. Hope u get a few results that are close.

Guess I shoulda moved/calibrated sooner.... major differences in CA/Mag. Gonna run a couple more tests and probably bump MaG independently if they’re consistent.

Got to visit cory yesterday, had a great time and was able to drop off the OA SHU box. Traded a chunk of my purple tipped green acro, and a 3" piece of my orange gorgonian for a nice piece of a hammer an enormous toadstool leather, and a frag of the purple stylophora from the pirate himself.

You know I spent half the time I was there taking photos. Kudos cory, your reef and system are put together beautifully. The sump was planned excellent as well. Thumbs up everywhere. Cheers bud.

Thanks all. It's easy with starphire glass and the pieces cory has spotted around the rocks are gorgeous. Looking forward to the 1yr progression shots.

P.s. If I spent half the time researching reefing as I do taking pictures and videos of my reef... I MIGHT know half of what Cory does.

Truely a wealth of knowledge and it was proven when his better half ask Kalisha when we got there if I also spend hours reading about the hobby.. ;Hilarious

They really did come out nice. Rich has the camera, patience and persistence to get those kind of shots. Even with the newer iPhones we cant even come close. Or I cant.

Even doing that I cant get that kind of quality. He actually made me take my whites down to 1% to get those with no filter. Camera works better in blue.

I need to push the white up to around 60 to get the blue out in pics.

Well the early results using the Brightwell NO3 export block are positive. 1st test since adding it last week show a clear decline. I am looking at what Id call a solid 10 and a lighter shade of purple on the Salifert kit than I had before adding the block and Microbacter7. No other changes to speak of.

PO4 stable at .09.

Ok, so I admit it; I've been a lousy member of R2R and a crappy friend. I could give all kinds of excuses/reasons why I went MIA but will save you the agony. Bottom line is I jumped out of the R2R ocean without warning or saying anything to nearly anyone. It was an uncalled for and selfish act. So, I offer my apologies to you, and anyone else, that I had built a cyber-friendship with through this forum. I won't let it happen again.
