I’ve been to over 30 different mountains (and still counting), and Utah not only has some of the best snow, best slopes, but best scenery as well... great pics! I’ll be out there myself in a few weeks, going to Park City / Canyons for the second time (4th or 5th time to UT I think). Solitude is a great bump, Snowbird is good too. If you want something different and a little more challenging (a lot more depending on how brave you are, lol) check out Jackson Hole, WY. You’ll get some great shots there too. Wasatch is very pretty but Tetons are something to see.

Tips Up!

Nice! Theyve been getting crushed all month long. Dumped on us all day long today at snowbird and we more or less had the place to ourselves. One of my buddies left us today and headed for Jackson. Ive been to Targhee but never Jackson. Its on the list though. Big Sky or Alyeska next year. Have a great trip!

Im way behind on everyone else threads as well as taking care of my tanks but Ill be back this week. Slept about 21 hours strait after getting home. Last day in the mountains crushed me but in the greatest possible way! Last photo dump then back to regularly scheduled programming.

Hope eveyone's doing well! We've been pretty much on hiatus since returning from the mountains. A break from the forums and social media altogether really. Its been kinda nice being unplugged some.

Tanks doing well. No issues while we were gone. Upon returning from the hills we replaced all of the RODI filters and did a 20/25g water change. Replaced filters as a best practices kind of thing rather than a need but figure once a year is a good idea. Need to try and remember to replace the sediment filter a bit more often though, that thing was gross!

Added the last remaining fish from the Reefer to the 110. In went the yellow tang.... But hang on I said to myself.... If you're going to add the Yellow Tang you may as well get a 2nd Tang now and add them at the same time... Oh and you have that expiring $50 LA gift card that needs to be used so shopping we went that day. DD posted up a beautiful hybrid Powder Blue Tang. It was the exact same size as the Yellow tang and the Blue was gorgeous! I have no self control so the trigger was pulled and we have a new fish ;) I know he'll probably need to be rehomed some day but for now he's super happy!! Gets along fine with the Yellow Tang. The had a couple of stare down's and Fin flaring contests the first couple of days but i can't even say I saw any tail slapping.

So that gets us to 13 fish at the moment. I think i want two more to round out the fish list and have my eye out for a couple of specific things. From here on the goal is to begin testing water more than once every 4-8 weeks and dial in my parameters before high diving into the SPS pool. I will be removing the hammers I have in here now that hate the elevated flow rates and moving them to the biocube. I am keeping the torches in here though. They love the flow rates.

Those torches really are loving the flow!!!

The powder blue looks amazing!!

How is the refugium doing?
Glad you asked.... Fuge is still plugging away. Chaeto growth remains steady. Probably harvest again in another week or so. Cleaned the skimmer yesterday. The Kessil was growing a good bit of algae in it so I put a smoked piece of acrylic in the path in hopes of blocking some light.

Torch looks good ! !

Did the bta make it?
Sure did. I havent plopped it in here just yet after losing the clowns but its doing well in the 40B. It likes the glass in that tank for some reason. Probably not quite enough light for it in there.

WOW, this looked so much better on the phone!! It's color is actually pretty good in person.

Looking good torches look great! The color of the tangs make the tank real nice
Thx, I completely agree :) There was an overload of orange and pink from all the wrasses. Adding the bigger Blue and Yellow fish broke it up nicely. They've changed the dynamic in the tank for the better too. Everyone seems happier and swimming a bit more freely. Not that they were unhappy before but because there was so many wrasse I think they foused on eachother too much rather than acting naturally.

Good to hear ! ! ! The 2 that were closed up, still are. The other, with the crab, is nice and open and eating whenever I offer some LRS to it. Crabby sometimes steals it and I need to give another piece to the BTA. I try and give some morsels to the other 2 but their tentacles are not sticky like the other. Sometimes they get it, other times they let it slide off.
