your Tank alk seems to be around 8 but doesn’t your salt mix lower? If so how do you do water change and not lower the all in the tank?
I have that issue, salt is 7.4 and I keep alk around 8.5 to 9.
I dose my mixing station brute can to the alk I want the tank at then do WC.
My tank never gets to the salt's base level of 7.4 because my WC keep bumping up the alk to that 8.5 to 9 dkh.

My fresh mix usually measures closer to 7.5 than the 7 they claim so a 20g water change on 120ish gallons isnt much of an impact. If it does drop a couple of points Im okay with it. In reality I want to be a little lower anyway, 7.5-7.8 is my target range.

That digi looks like it's taking off! Nice pics cory! Love that our little group has so many shared corals from trading and gifting to each other :)
Yep, I couldn't get many decent shots of the other sps in that lighting... Tthey sit farther back in the tank and just didnt look good but all encrusting nicely with some sprouting new branches. Still working the PO4 down. I think the elevated level has been hindering my progress a bit. Need to test today.

Not sure how these will look after upload but they look okay on my phone. Quickly Used the AquariumCam app filter for these ones.

love it! That yellow tang really ”pop’s” :)
Seeing the contrast of Yellow and Powder Blue together never gets old! The fact that powder Blue and Gold were my high schools colors brings about nostalga i wasnt really expecting :)

Today we clean some probes..... Probably 6 months overdue but they gave me happy readings so why would I clean them?? LoL

IMG_3934.jpg

They were still reading as I'd expect or at least where I'd like them to be except for salinity. That swung way out range with yesterdays water change and all my attemps at making it better only made it worse so we'll clean and calibrate to see where things land.

20g water change yesterday coupled with a cleaning of the Fuge and trimming/rinsing of chaeto. Trying to be somewhat consistent with that chore since the sand bed under the chaeto gets pretty nasty, pretty quickly. I think every 3 months is where my interval will land for this fairly routine task.

Didin't test anything, I figured Id wait a couple days for any residual affects to wain before looking at numbers again.

Corals telling me all's well hwoever.
