It works way better then the polyp labs filter for me. Polyp labs over corrected so bad my sand looked like it was full of cyano.
Now go back to your thread we want to see what’s in the bags lol
Yeah ya do!!

What leopard did you get?
I’m trying to decide on 2 but can’t make up my mind

My coach @Scurvy helped me gather this new order! He been all over me today for updates! haha But hey, I appreciate all the help I can get!

I agree on the app VS the filter. The filer makes everything in my tank look way YELLOW!

JF Solar Flare holding color and beginning to show a little growth. A little over filtered but closet to actual color than no filter so we’ll use it.

Needed to harvest chaeto so we did a 20g water change this morning and pulled about half the chaeto ball. Say 2.5 gallons worth.

water still cloudy but corals seem to be snacking. At least those that were awake.

Throw in a pan with copious amounts of butter and garlic. Yummo! :p

Awesome. Are you gonna test your bacterial diversity with that mail-in gig? @Flippers4pups did his I believe. Just curious. Good luck with the ScurvStyle!
Maybe someday but not for a while if I do. Don’t know enough about it really or how I might remedy the findings should they be less than ideal, which I suspect they would be.

I'm getting ready to do another one soon.
Did you make any changes/additions after the findings of the first?

I surely dont know enough about the various bacterial strains in our tanks to begin with let alone where I’d find sources of whatever might be lacking outside of old fashion Live Rock.

that said I did add a bunch of different things from IPSF.com with my refugium. I would hope their mud and bacterial cultures might be better than some/most off the shelf stuff but again I don’t know enough.

Perhaps that’ll be next in my casual self taught marine biology program ;)

It showed I have cyanobacteria at high levels, but I have never seen any. Dosed chemi clean and have waited to do another test to see if things settle.

My revamped plan fell apart however when we moved the new clown to the biocube! We placed him in the acclimation box and the little guy swam right through the open slots and out into the real world!

Hoping the 4x larger female accepts him!
