I recently moved and upgraded my 125gal undrilled a 150gal drilled. I wasn't happy with the rock work in the 125. It was pretty much a rock wall with frag racks on the front, so my boyfriend put together the rock for the 150 with rods and epoxy, and frag racks are banned from the tank. It gives the fish a lot more swimming room and looks nice. The new tank is going to be mainly SPS. Right now there's only 4 fish in it that came from the old tank: hippo tang, orange shoulder tang, tailspot blenny, and spotted mandarin. We want to add a school of 5 anthias at some point.

I was a little worried about putting so many corals and fish into a new system (new water, new sand, old rock though) since it never had a chance to "cycle," but there wasn't much I could do. I needed everything out of my old house. So far everything is doing good. Fingers crossed!

We used a 50 gallon as a sump, the skimmer from the old tank (have no clue what brand), sock filters (made cool holders for them with pvc), and a carbon/phosphate remover reactor. My boyfriend and his dad built the stand. With the tank on it, it's as tall as me! and I'm 5'9"!

Thanks!

We left the rockwork short to give the SPS plenty of room to grow. Forgot to add, we're using a MP40W on the left side. It isn't quite enough for the right side, so we're getting another one to help increase the flow. So far I really like the MP40. Oh and I also made mesh tops for it, like the ones jimflies made.

Well, it'd be pretty hard for them to fall. There are fiberglass rods running through them. They're pretty sturdy.

Here's pics of the tops I made for it.

I actually have no clue about the fiberglass. I know they use it for boats and stuff, so I figured it'd be alright. Hope it is!

I got the screen from jimsflies from this site.

The 10K bulb on the right blew, so there's an old 14K there now.

Thanks! He is a really cool fish. Very good at picking algae off the rocks and frag plugs in my old tank. I'm excited to see him change colors, but it doesn't look like that's going to happen any time soon. He's so bright yellow right now and at night he looks white!
