Came for the SPS... left with the anemone. :beaming-face-with-smiling-eyes:
I’ve gave up long ago in keeping sticks and other fancy corals, they just not my thing anymore, the anemone was cute and it may look good eventually, I got in the same trip some nice blue eyes acro crabs that needed re home, a black crab and a few slugs.
looking to build something different that gives me enjoyment.
My taste in tank inhabitants is a bit messed up but I’m enjoying it more than ever :p

That thing is cool! I have a pico and I'm choosing certain 'pest' anemones to be the stars. These green ones are tulip anemones. Been on the lookout for the pink-tipped variety.

They look really cool, do they spread fast? What’s the algae on the left? That thing looks crazy.

I started with two a couple months ago now. One has split since. So not too crazy. I hardly feed the tank too which probably helps.

As for the algae, it is now dead. I picked it up at a local tidepool for fun. Dipped it to treat for pest and in it went. I was surprised how fluorescent it was. I'm on the coast of CA so it definitely prefers colder water but I thought it would be worth a shot. I think the hermits had a taste for it too. The photosynthetic sponge is doing good in the tank though.

And me being me, left the stick at the shop and asked to buy the little hitchhiker majano

am now a proud owner of a pink majano, I think.

Not sure that’s a mojano, but if it is you better throw that thing away ASAP. I know it looks cute now, but mark my words, these things are a nightmare. I had to break down a tank just to get rid of them. They love growing in between zoas and sting a circle around themselves. They would grow near sps and sting the bases, they will be in every nuke and cranny of your tank in less than a year. I brought 2 into my tank and ended up with over 200+ by the time I was breaking it down.

It almost looked like asparagopsis, it may explain the tide pool collection as I never seen them in the hobby, I lie seen it once in a tank from Thailand although he collected all his macros from the beach.

Aw it’s cute! I am happy this isn’t a thread about killing it! If you were state side.. I would have paid to buy some babies if it splits.

Here are my cuties

yes I sell some or trade on and off... are yours the all green ones?
Yes all green. I also have this Bali red mini carpet that will be going in at some point, just waiting on a split.

I have both of those but would be down to trade for something if you want. I guess I like mushrooms or leathers mostly or odd nems obviously.

I have the purple/green ones and green with pink tips and borneman anemones in excess I can trade.

Believe it or not there seems to be a fair amount of people who love majano's and I get asked to sell or trade mine frequently.
