Hello,

may I have some pics of systems running v2’s & some info from first hand users?

are you overall pleased with the lights? Pros / cons?

any issues with software / glitches?

do they seem do grow high quality coral & nems? I don’t care about light shows, bells / whistles, etc…

thoughts on going with v2+? I’m looking for something with a remote… tired of messing with glitchy apps…

size lights for for 60x24x22 mainly sps & nems?

I replaced a 6 bulb t5 unit with the 32 version and haven't skipped a beat. My tank is only sps barebottom with emphasis on acros. My corals are colorful and growing like crazy.

I think you will be happy with the lights.
The controller works just fine but each individual channel has to be programmed so I suggest using a sheet of paper to get everything right. I had to replace the wi-fi board on 1 unit but it was easy & service if needed is no problem. I would look at the 50" model.

Thanks for the feedback… I’m debating on making the switch… I ran older versions of the Reefbreeders a handful of years ago and liked them. I purchased some lights for my new setup and not thrilled with them. They make the tank look great, but I think all the bells and whistles are just more fail points… possibly the reason they went down twice in 2 months? So much for high end lights…

I just want something dependable, makes the tank look good, and grows nice coral… I don’t give a rip about lightning, hurricanes, solar plexus, or any of that stuff..

I don't care what brand of anything you buy there are some problems with everything. Some more than others. Reefbreeder's is not an exception but there are not that many bad reviews for them.

If you dont want any control I would probably lean towards led reef bars like orphek or quantareef among others. Use the mount to link then together or aluminum bar and either putlet timers or a smart outlet just to control on and off. No bells and whistles just on and off. https://orphek.com/or3-hybrid-reef-aquarium-led-bar/

Does not disappoint.
The actual remote is clunky once you program it once it's done. I just upgraded to the pro version and I can control it on my phone. The app is Flawless once it's connected and it's so much better the program.

Our new version works with our Reef Nexus app for smartphone programming :)

You have great colors on your sticks… it’s inspiring to hear that you made the change from t5’s & are happy…

@dedragon thanks for the tip. Those look nice, but hesitant to go with a half dozen fixtures. That would be without an app though… seems like I’m pretty picky, huh? Lol

might go ahead with the v2. I’m still undecided... I am tired of messing with my current lights though… I’ve about had it with the connection software issues…

Thought about just grabbing a couple stratton, skys, or….??? Probably cheapest and better to just go with the v2. At this point the thought of another / more fixtures controlled by apps has me hesitant…

thanks for the feedback & ideas reef peeps…
