Seneye not working

    I have the worst luck with equipment. Went to use my seneye reef for the first time in awhile. Needed to take par readings since I added 2 x xr15 g4 pros. Well at first I kept getting errors and it would not connect. C06AFF82-BB10-405A-84F2-4EB85338FAE4.jpeg 006FE71B-BEB2-4B6E-815C-3B839C29623A.jpeg So then I went on the website and it said to download a new connect app. So I did and now it will connect but it says I need to spend $60 to take pad readings. $200 and I’ve only used it once. Not sure why I have such bad luck with everything

    To top it off I am not home during the week when my lights are at max. So this will have to wait till next weekend.

    What is it they want you to buy for $60 related to PAR reading??
    do you have the REEF model or one of the others?

    Anyone on here from @AQD-Seneye any more or do I have a $200 paper weight?

    Been almost 2 weeks and still no one from @AQD-Seneye cab help me out? Did you guys go out of business or what????

    You need to email them directly. The response is quick through their customer service. Also the disabled Par meter is a simple fix on their end.

    Not sure why they aren't active here?....

    Looked at your issue further, you had a firmware update that may have had a power off to it at the time of other interference, this meant a reboot, in doing so your PAR meter got disconnected. this is a simple fix by emailing support@seneye.com to get it turned back on.

    Please always use Support at support@seneye.com for any concerns.

    Thanks for the response Michael. Still getting the same error messages. So do I have to keep it plugged into my computer and my computer on 24/7 for it to work properly? Seems like a terrible waste of electricity for something that does nothing but monitor.
    I wish I had known you were in another country before I purchased. I work a full time job so there is no way I can call you without taking a day off from work. Pretty bummed with this whole thing.

    Hi, no you do not have to keep it plugged in, only if doing an update, your issue is wholly different, the unit has glitched and needs the par meter switching back on at the Seneye server. To do this simply email support giving your serial number and username for Seneye.me ( you don’t have to call or take time off) and providing you have a Seneye Reef and not a Seneye home (the serial will tell them) then they will switch it back on for you.

    Seneye is a global product, for support it’s irrelevant t where you or I live, the first step is email them, then if you need higher level support they can arrange a Skype call or phone you direct at a suitable time, no different than any other company so you are in excellent hands.

    I do ask, if you Need support in the future please email and you can always copy me in info@seneye-USA.com please do this at this time also so I can track the outcome.

    I plugged in but it was past your hours so could not reach anyone to speak to directly as the hours are so different.

    Yes so they will reply when they are open tomorrow. It is 7.15pm here on the east coast I doubt any manufacturer even in the USA based on the east coast will be open now. By the time you wake tomorrow you may even have a reply waiting for you.

    I have forwarded your email you sent looking for support into them for you.
