Hi Everyone!
I'm new here, and this is my first thread other than an introduction one. You all have given me such a warm welcome.
I wanted to start a thread on my 40 gallon FOWLR tank in the basement. It currently has:
- x2 clownfish (pair, female ocellaris clownfish, male mocha clownfish)
- x1 yellow clown goby
- x1 peppermint shrimp
- x1 emerald crab
- x2 pacific nerite snail
I'm really happy with how it's doing so far. I know that a lot of the time people are intimidated to start saltwater but my experience is with this tank it's really easy. I'm thinking of getting more fish and inverts and corals eventually. Here is my overall plan:
Fish
2x Clownfish (female ocellaris, male mocha)
1x Yellow Clown Goby
1x Tail Spot Blenny
3x Banggaii Cardinalfish
1x Exquisite Firefish Goby
1x Flameback Angelfish
1x Six Line Wrasse
Invertebrates and plants
1x Emerald Crab
1x Peppermint Shrimp
1x Blood Red Fire Shrimp
1x Cleaner shrimp
1x Orange Linkia Starfish
2x Nerite Snails
1x Astrea Turbo snail
2x Nassarius Snails
2x Bumblebee snails
1x Electric Blue hermit crab
1x Bubble Tip anemone
1x Red Macroalgae
1x Hawaiian feather duster
1x Tridacna Crocea clam
Corals
Candy Cane Caulastrea (Pink/Green)
Xenia (White)
Clavularia (White/Yellow)
Club Finger Coral (Pink/Yellow)
Turbinaria (Yellow)
Zoanthids (Pink/Green)
Thick Finger Leather Coral (Yellow)
Toadstool Mushroom Leather Coral (White)
Cauliflower Colt Coral (Purple)
Birdsnest Coral (Purple)
Brain Coral (Green)
Tree Coral (Pink)
Staghorn Acropora (Yellow)
It's been running for almost a year now but still has shown no ammonia, nitrites, or nitrates. My plan is to stock slowly as I go and monitor. I'm getting Tail Spot Blenny and Firefish next and maybe a cleaner shrimp.
I'm excited to be a part of this community
