Share your largest coral that you own currently

Hey guys I thought it would be interesting for people to share what your biggest coral you are currently keeping. tell a little bout the coral, share photos if you can, size, etc. I will share mine later!

My Hawkins Echinata is about the size of a large cantaloupe. I started this as a 1/2” nub that I saved from a frag that had RTN’d about 2 years ago.

I don’t have anything huge and truthfully I don’t really have room for anything huge. This Hollywood stunner chalice is about 6” across now. What I find cool is that it started out as a tiny 1/4” piece a year ago. I’m now at the point where I will need to chop it to keep it in check.

My largest coral I guess would be this frogspawn. Has about 10 or 11 heads. Plus I just cut 4 heads of last month to trade. Lights just came on, so not opened up just yet.

I just removed this coral a few months ago. It is a Red Dragon Acro it was larger that a basket ball aprox. 18-20" across when it was removed. The tank is a 30x30x24tall for reference

I grew a 12in by 9in green montipora as seen in my profile pic. It has since grew more. Grew this from a flat frag.

Ahhh, my accomplished reefing friend. Would you like to help your montipora spread it’s proverbial seed and solidify its genetic legacy? If so, I will happily PM you my address and we can arrange a frag transplant. Similar to how zoos across the world share their animals to promote diversity and conservation.

All kidding aside, awesome coral!!

Its either stylophora or seriatophora. My lfs is just getting into sps corals and not great at identifying exact species lol. It was one of my first also. Those two corals can be tricky to tell apart, as many are IMO

I have three stags that are all about 16" across. Green slimer, purple formosa and a blue green formosa. I removed all the birdsnest corals because they grow too fast.

What’s your secret. That’s been an elusive one for me. I can grow many species that size in that time frame. I’ve tried 4 Hawkins. I can’t get them past the 2” mark before they necrose
