Building a new aquascape in my 100g and I want to add a mushroom garden in the front low portion of the tank, my initial thoughts are to build marina type rock structure around them to minimize the flow on them. Looking for inspiration, ideas and pictures, please:)

It's possible, I might try to elevate it so that it sits a little higher in the tank. You have any examples your thinking of?

All I do is keep mushrooms in my frag tables minus a few zoas and a freebie Lps that came in an order.
Be back with pix soon lol not like I needed another reason to take pix of my shrooms and post them!
I'm about to set up another table and just do a mushie garden myself!

All I run is tables on egg crates..
What are you using for rubble and where did you get it? I'm thinking about just breaking up some live rock and filling a table with it.
Anyhow this is what I'm going to mushie scape with lol..

From most of the mushroom collectors on here I am a bit different...I don't keep my mushrooms in containers as I like to see the tank as natural as a box of water can be.

This does leave the chance that they will move but so far I've been lucky they don't move too much that they get covered or not seen.

When I get new mush frags in I do keep them in an acclimation box then after a few days place them in an area I hope they stay

I know your a fellow mushroom head.
I've been following your posts lol
Have to ask. Do you really care if the mushie move and do them moving encourage new baby growth.
Like you I place and watch them and dont touch them once comfortable on my table. It's easy to see they open up and are healthy and at full glory once you find the sweet spot I guess.
Does the sweet spot encourage growth and baby making or does keeping them moving accomplish that?
Anyone?

Thank you! Some amazing looking shrooms or all types! Right now I have Caribbean sea mid size sand but I was thinking of breaking up some live rock and placing as rubble and flat frag plug, most likely pukani rock. Here are some ideas, I'd want the rock structures around the garden to be about 3-4' off the sand bed. I do like the idea of putting some egg create down as well though.

That's my thoughts on the mushrooms acclimate and place in a safe area hoping the flow doesn't pick them up when they move.

So far from what I have noticed is growth over reproduction....

I have noticed the one that has left me babies or split is my sunkist and it seems that it moves due to competition with surrounding coral....possibly due to stress and leaves a baby everytime or it splits.

My OG has liked where it has been for months and just keeps getting bigger..... It has left 1 little spec of a baby but it gets covered by the skirt so it does not grow much at all.

I have what I call a zombie bounce and some call it a mellow yellow bounce (in the pic) I'm still not sure its exact name but it also just gets bigger without splitting or giving babies.

I wish I knew the exact science...

I spot feed the main mushrooms 3 times a week with...

Benepets
Reef roids
Oyster feast
Red sea AB+

I am very interested in getting them to split regularly!

I have one of these coming to me along with another red-spotted discosoma. If they make it here safe and sound I'll post a pic.

Haha, When I purchased it the description said St. Thomas multicolor mushroom I'm hoping it has that color under the blue lights. I have been more on a mushroom kick lately since I got a mellow yellow bounce last month... it's started another reef addition. Forgot to mention the bounce already split into 3... I freaked because I thought it was dying.

No that's a piece of our 24k lepto, funny coincidence though because that's where our jawbreaker is now sitting now
