I’ve just added another 7 Lyretail Anthias to the system, their a bit smaller than the ones already in so we will have to see what happens.

I decided to start using an acclimatisation box (fish trap) for any smaller additions as I think it’s a bit intimidating for them and many hide in the rocks for days.

They were in the box for about 5 hours, and were swimming around in it happily after an hour or so and non of the other fish were bothering them, so i opened the trap door and they slowly left.

There’s now 14 Lyretail Anthias in the system including 2 males

Shaun,
You really got both tanks looking amazing, and the acro growth is stupid crazy... ;Woot ;Woot

I simmer Rowaphos as well, you should not crank up the flow with Rowa like other GFOs.

The Regal and Bluethroat triggers seem to be doing well.

Has your Bluethroarts tried to spawn again, as of late?

Lyretail are my favorite. Dream to have a large group with large group of chromis. Must be amazing to watch.
They do look amazing the Lyretails and add so much colour to the system, and also the Chromis, especially as they get bigger

The interesting thing is with the blue chromis, there were originally about 9 I think, now there are just 5, all slightly different sizes from small to large. And this is exactly the same in the S650, 5, so maybe that’s the magic number for aquariums

Thank you Freddie, and yes the rowaphos should just ‘simmer’ away.

The Bluethroats continue to try and spawn every 3-4 months or so, infact have dug a new nest at the back right of the S650.
