I see you used the neighbor's yard..... again, to hide your junkOne of the final pieces of ‘engineering’ on my new system, is something I thought of a while ago regarding the waste saltwater from water changes
I have quiet a large block paved driveway and also patio area, and when I did manual water changes with buckets, I always threw the waste saltwater down the driveway. And I noticed that is had a good effect on keeping any moss/algae at bay, because of the salt which also helps prevent it re growing when used regularly.
So instead of using around 5 litres of Jeyes fluid (which isn’t cheap) or at least reducing the amount, I’ve installed a 1000 litre IBC container to collect and store the waste saltwater. And this will be hooked into a hose pipe and gravity fed to dispense the saltwater all around as and when required. I also have a 5000lph pond pump and very long hose as well for a bit of a quicker method
The thing that looks like a cannon, it the RODI waste pipe (and DOS tubing) covered with insulation to prevent any freezing issues.
Oh you are funny! LolI see you used the neighbor's yard..... again, to hide your junk
lol yes I am following a few build. I am busy man on the move. Should I keep posting my build thread lol.Always happy to make someone laugh. It's not been a difficult task as people have been laughing at me most of my life. Awww, who am I kidding? They've been laughing all of my life!
Speaking of @FARMBOYREEF ... I wonder if he follows/posts on other people's build threads. Or maybe he's one of these types that is like, "Hey everyone, look at me... look at me... no, really, LOOK AT ME because I really need all the attention and self-esteem confirmations and boosters I can get! Lol ;Hilarious;Hilarious;Hilarious

And now for the arrival of the new custom made 2000 litre system. The new and the old. You can see the reflection of the S650 in the glass. September 2019 the big build begins..... Page 70+

Shaun,
That shot is amazing!!!

S-650 as your frag tank... ;Hilarious
Question:
Are you using Apex Fusion to control your Abyzz?
Welcome back Freddie my friend, and thank you!
Lol! Sure is a big frag tank as well!
I just control the Abyzz with its own controller, not Apex although it’s plugged into the energy bar for off/on. It did look into getting the adapter, but I don’t really need to control the output regularly so didn’t bother.
Do you know what, that’s got to be one of my favourite pictures, I thought it was a great shot, but this lot just ‘liked’ it not ‘loved’ it! I think me and you must just be more appreciative of fine photography.....
Anyway so you can all marvel at my photographic skills again, and just in case you missed it, here’s that ‘amazing’ picture again!

I installed a camera at the rear of the tank a few weeks ago, primarily so I can see if there are any issues and also if I get any notifications from the leak detector I can double check. Sometimes they can give false alarms if they get even a little moisture near them and it’s now sat on a paper towel to reduce this.
I’ve also got a 59 second defer delay command on the Apex alarm notifications to prevent any alarms from sensor ‘noise’
I’ve also installed a DD temperature controller today as another line of fail safe on the system. Apex gave a false low temperature when I was away, or something odd happened and it turned on the heaters. I did a remote reset and when it came back up it was showing the correct temperature and heaters off. I reported this to Neptune, but it seems to have sorted itself out, but I’m not taking any chances
So for the heating system, I have Eheim heaters with their own thermostats, the DD as primary controller and then Neptune Apex as a final failsafe. Apex leaves the outlet on unless it detects a temperature of over 29c (or whatever I set it at) and then will switch the whole heating system off automatically.
I’ve also put the temperature display at the back of the tank, but can check it with the camera if need be. The camera fully rotates, zooms and goes up and down so I can see anything, calcium reactor etc.
Here’s a few pictures of the leak detector and display
It's a good thing you get all of these things buttoned up prior to jet-setting off again with your buddy @najer !
Thank you, and If your prepared to travel across the Atlantic ocean then yes of course you can!! LolAll your photos are great!
That puppy is adorable. Can I snuggle up with her or him for a nap

I probably will one day, its what I’ve planned to do when I go to australia, sort of pit stop my way over there. It’s about as far away from the UK as there is.With all the jet-setting you do, I'm a little surprised you wouldn't take the long way with a number of pit stops!

I just cant be bothered yet, but I would like to go to the Great Barrier Reef Reef at some point.
The Galapagos Islands adventure inspired me to go further afield and to unusual places were not many people get to go. The link to the adventure journal is below if anyone hasn’t seen it so far
My wife’s brother lives in california so we could stop over there as well.
Anyway it’s raining here all week so I’m off on my jet plane in the morning care of Ryanair to my home in Spain, and Tuesday morning I’ll been hitting my white balls far and widel But it will be 27c not 4!
