Always looking good my friend, happy to see the new system is doing good. You OSG seems to be a zen garden master. ;Woot
Thanks Pancho, I think the threat of additional competition has made him pull his finger out now!

He’s finally found the other side of the tank. Just needs to burrow over to the right hand side now as well

The corals in the new tank are really starting to fill out now, infact I’ve got to be very selective on what I’m adding.

Some of the birds nest coral will be removed and replaced by more colourful SPS, it’s just a tank filler at the moment as it grows like a weed.

The tank is around 7 months old here

The orange spot goby has literally burrowed his way to the left hand side of the tank under the rocks, which is about 1.5 metres away from the centre, and started cleaning and piling the sand up now! I noticed a hole this morning had appeared and when I got home there he was happily working away.

I seem to have given him a little encouragement!

Forgive the picture quality but you get the idea!

7 months old, it’s coming together nicely. The SPS are growing at a very healthy rate, and all parameters are stable. My little piece of ocean, or at least one of them anyway! Lol

Thanks Rich, the sand build up is mainly from flow around the rock work but the Goby cleans it for me! Lol

Tell you what. I’ve been looking at new systems to produce distilled water for ages, so basically a new RODI system

And I’ve found it. I produces zero TDS water every time and it an absolute essential to any reef system.

I can’t believe I didn’t get one ages ago!

Its an absolute delight to operate and the water it produces, well fabulous darlings fabulous!

What is this kind of thing?
Does it boil the water?

Oh you sweet and innocent boy Jan! Lol

Yes it boils the water and makes a fine ’distilled water’ which is great for RODI and myself alike!

Whatever you do don’t get one. I have a feeling it will definitely be ‘frowned upon’ in the UAE!

Here’s another picture of a coral that looks nothing to the naked eye but up close a little more interesting. Its called a ‘little blueish coral’.....
