The only slight problem I have is that I’m never going to be able to catch the Harlequins once in, and I don’t think the LFS sells frozen star fish.

I think I’m going to get just one rather than two.

And I’ve just noticed they may also eat sea urchins, of which I have a few (or had!!)

Shaun,
I had the same thing happen.
As soon as the Asterina wiped out a ton of the S-400's coralline algae, them boogers headed for the zoa's.

The Harley's did the job, but it was sure hard to trade them back in to my reef shop... :(

They were the coolest shrimp that I've ever had the pleasure to keep.

Yes he certainly is cool. The shop said take him back when his job is done, but the problem will be catching him I feel, or even finding him again in my rockwork!

I feel it may be impossible, but I will try.......

I happened to have some time on my hands today so decided I might just call around at my LFS (whilst waiting delivery of my frags this Thursday!) and I happen to see a few things that's seemed rather nice! So you can guess what happened next!

I got me 5 beautiful Anthias and a wrasse that's yellow!

So say hello to my new little friends!

I also purchased an Elegance Coral which is absolutely stunning. It's still coming out after adding to tank and is at the middle front but I'll take a better photo when it's fully out

I have never quarantined anything, BUT the LFS’s I use here in the UK get their fish from a source that quarantine and if necessary treat them at the wholesalers so they have always said it’s not necessary so I never have.

Wasn’t aware asternia actually ate coral, only seen them ever take out my corraline on the rocks and walls. Still want to erradicate them...
I must have a coral eating variant then ! Lol

There were loads of them and I picked one off an SPS and the flesh had been removed under it, nice...... they completely ate my very large green star poly colony until I realised what was happening. I was blaming the fish!

The numbers are dropping now due to the Harlequin and my active long nosed forceps.

Who could choose? They are all absurdly beautiful. Really one of the nicest reefs I have seen.

Thank you for the compliment @NY_Caveman !

As we all find, pictures don’t really do the tanks justice and they look simply magical in real life, and to be able to create a living coral reef in your home (and stare at in endlessly lol!) is a great privilege.

The following is a picture of a fight between a Montipora coral and another (pink one!).

The Montipora is winning and I’ve taken some frags from the victim
