Should i run a skimmer on my Biocube 32?

I have been using that skimmer for about 5 months now. I get a very dark watery skim. I think it gives me some wiggle room when I over feed and I like the aeration.

I am running the biocube skimmer since beginning. No mods necessary. I never get thick brown skim. It is watery and brown and empty the cup every 2- 3 days. It does export some of organic waste but does so good job at oxygenation of water.
