Show me your Fluval Flex 9gallons or 15gallons!

I’m tempted to convert my flex 9 to salt, and looking for inspiration.
Side question, what’s the back stocked with filter/media wise on your tank, or do you leave it how it comes?

We got a decorator crab surrendered into work who has been surrendered/sold a few different times now, so I want this to be his final home lol. He eats corals/tube worms and im assuming most other sessile inverts. His claws are small though and he’s way too clumsy to harm fish, but I’m hesitant to even consider fish in a 9gallon?

The crab is about 2-3” long and 2” wide and looks like the attached pic (from google) but covered in hair algae and detritus

interested to hear some opinions/see inspiration.

He has eaten everything from large soft corals to SPS/LPS, tube worms and feather dusters, anemones etc. he is a special case lol. He was surrendered back to us multiple times. Right now he’s living in our sump at work and I’m not allowed to sell him again because of the damage he has caused in peoples tanks lol. But thank you for all the info, I may make the 9 for him for now and then upgrade him in the future, or Ill make the 40gal sump at work a little home for him until I can get a bigger one going in the future.

Ah, so his diet is an acquired taste, lol. He'll be fine in a 40-gallon sump if that's where he's currently located (you may need to supplement him with some seaweed every few days considering his size/appetite).

Yeah lol hes a special one. I think I’ll leave him to the sump as the section hes in has more floor space than the 9gal, i give him bits of silverside/silverside skeletons from the snails, brine shrimp, nori and vitalis marine grazer ring pieces. Basically whatever I have leftover from feeding everyone in the morning. He also got a molly juvenile today (it was already dead), ate that within 10 mins. He’s a cool dude, just a trouble maker.

Planning on adding some rock and sand (currently just Caulerpa and a clay pot) and I'll be adding my sponge decorator (looks just like the one above) and a trio of camel shrimp to it (already have the crab and shrimp living in a tank together by themselves as they finish being fallow for quarantine).

Obviously not very good pics, but this is the tank now (cloudy immediately after a water change), and a few pics of the inverts. I may move my pencil urchin in here as well, so I can get him out of my refugium where he's been the past 6 months or so.

Not sure to be honest. I plan on enjoying mine as long as possible.

I added a huge chunk of live rock and about 12 lbs of aragonite today, it's starting to look clearer already from the dust. I may still add a shrimp goby and tiger pistol shrimp.
