I have a 750 XXL Coming in 2 weeks I would like to know how much evaporation you are getting a week. I am going to get a external tank in the basement and do not want to have to worry about it for 3-4 weeks at a time?

Plan for 2 to 3 gallons a day.

Great thank you, do you have any issues in the rooms the tank is in Moisture? Do you think putting a partial solid top on would help with evaporation at all?

Im sure there is more moisture in the air. The room my tank is in is 20x20 and I also installed a dedicated mini split that I'm sure helps by bringing in fresh air from outside.

I had a partially enclosed canopy on my 155 gallon bowfront and that didn't help with evaporation. I'm sure a completely enclosed top would cut down the evaporation considerably but probably at the cost of more heat in your tank.

I run two 25 gallon containers for saltwater mixing and rodi top off.

It's just one of those simple cheap closet maid cube type cabinets from Home Depot, but I turned it sideways to hide all my equipment and to hide the fish food from the dogs. They've gone through 2 packs of food now...dunno what it is about the seaweed extreme but they want it!

Hiding the fish food from the dog makes me laugh! I had a automatic fish feeder with food in it sitting on a self and my dog chewed it up to get to the food. Ruined a $50 feeder. I didn't laugh at the time but I do now!! I have to dog, cat, and kid proof all my reef stuff!!!

Ha! Luckily I haven't lost a feeder. But twice, I've had to check my cameras to see which one grabbed the bag of food. Both times, it was a brand new full bag. Sneaky 4-legged bandits!

2.8 gallons i believe. Just filled it up today so interested to see how long it last.

Had my bracket that comes with the deluxe model, that held one of the hydras break today. I raised the light up and there is no way to lock the light and it just broke, luckily i caught the light before it fell in my tank. They are sending me a new one, but seriously disappointed with this.

I’m assembling my 525 stand which is black. All is going well. However I have an extra bottom support which is white???

I’m assuming it’s just an extra piece?

Yep. My 525 I put together a month or so ago came with that same piece. I think they just use it to fill the void in the packing. I sat there for a while trying to figure out where it would go and couldn't find a place for it. My stand is holding up fine without it. Maybe it's an accent stripe option to get that final decorator touch.

No. Only the hard pipes came with it. Be careful when you put them together at the bulkhead fittings. I had one of the O-rings not seat quite properly and had a very slow leak. Slow enough I almost didn’t see it. Took it apart, reset it and all is good.
