Was wondering if anyone out there has removed the filter sock holder compartment and glass rails that the ATO reservoir sits on? Is it possible to do without breaking the sump? Would like to put my skimmer in this area to free up the main chamber for a fuge.

Finishing up my DJ switch and power center. Installed panduit last night for wire management. Installed 2, 15 amp GFI circuits last weekend.

What a productive weekend. I finally finished the plumbing and tiding up the wires and electronics. (just waiting for the hole covers)

Wish I still have enough energy to bust out the DSLR, because the phone camera doesn't do it justice.

Anyways, thanks to @Broadfield for helping me on which plumbing parts to get. This is my first time ever doing some plumbing stuff, so they're a little crooked and not level. :p

What breaks? the pipe or bulkhead? If the pipe breaks how do you get the broken piece out?
I've seen posts about people cracking the pipes. Some of the plumbing parts have been on back order.. so you might give a call and order a new set to have on hand just in case.. would suck to crack something and have to wait weeks for the replacement

What are you using to hold the power strip to the wall that way? Needing to mount mine that way when I upgrade tanks and was trying to think the best way to do it.

I used 2” wide heavy duty velcro from Home Depot.

Works well so far. IF it loses its grip over time, I will throw in some wood screws.

Awesome thanks! Had considered double sided tape because I have some around the house, but I think the velcro idea would work much better.

Oh and I quick update for me. I've enjoyed my 250 but have been wanting to get back to a 4' tank so I picked my XL 425 up last Saturday. Unfortunately we got snow here last week which pretty much closes down the entire state of North Carolina, so I'm still waiting on a few things to set it up but I'm hoping to have the 250 down and 425 up by this weekend.

I just ordered a wall-mount rack unit. I had used a heavy duty double-sided tape, but that fell off after about a week.

I'm still fairly new to reefing and I need a little help. I have a one month old 525 and I have a SICCE 7.0 pump on it. Not to waste time on details, let's just say that the pump is very noisy and repair parts from SICCE haven't corrected it. So the question is, what's a good, solid, quiet pump for the 525? Red Sea says I need 1060 GPH pump for the tank size but I wouldn't mind being on the high side of that.

Any suggestions?
